The Antarès shop opened at our workshops deep in the Charente-Maritime area. It’s a haven of expertise bringing the world of leather to life.

Our shop opened on October 11th and 12th 2024 and captures the very essence of our craft with our blend of quality, French tradition and modern flair.

Shop history

Antarès was founded in 2000 with a pioneering vision: to help both horse and rider fulfil their potential.
Empowered by its French artisan values, Antarès stands out for its bespoke services and its signature saddles.

Antarès has evolved over the years to meet the needs of discerning riders without sacrificing its high standards and sense of community.
True to its vision, Antarès opened its shop on October 2024.
It’s the brand’s only official shop and lies in our Les Gonds workshops in Charente-Maritime.

The idea behind the shop is to provide a unique customer experience and become a hub for anyone with a passion or interest in the world of leather and horse riding.

The shop sells all kinds of equipment for horses and riders.
Our famous attention to detail goes into everything we make.

For horses:

Whether you’re looking for a riding saddle to suit your mount or a safe and stylish riding helmet, our shop is the perfect place to find what you need.

We also have a wide variety of bridles including double bridles, reins, training aids, plus stirrups, stirrup leathers and girths to complete your saddle.

We stock a wide array of items including limited edition fashion, dog accessories and leather care products to keep your saddles, strirrup leathers and leather accessories in perfect condition.

Leather goods collection: doing our bit for the planet

Our leather goods range came from our respect for all the materials we work with.

We wanted to waste as little leather as possible, so we explored different ways to contribute to sustainable development.
That’s how we came up with our extensive leather goods range.

All our leather handbags, keyrings, clutches and other pieces are made using leather off-cuts from bespoke saddles.

Let’s not forget the PROFINE collection. It’s only available in-store and made using leather off-cuts from our other saddles: semi-custom or off-the-peg.

Let’s meet our shop manager: Candice

Could you introduce yourself in a few words?

My name is Candice and I’m 24 😊

I was born in Paris and lived there until recently! My hobbies include travelling, motorcycling, swimming and, of course, horse riding.

What’s your background?

I studied law before I join the Antarès shop. Afterwards I travelled to help me decide what I wanted to do after my course, then I started working in a large sports store.

What made you want to work at Antarès?

I was looking for my calling. Working in the sports industry was a real lightbulb moment for me and I loved it.

But I wanted to be more involved in a sport that’s close to my heart: horse riding.
