Olympic performances by our Antarès Riders at the Paris 2024 equestrian events!

ROBIN GODEL

Some of our Antarès Riders had the honour of competing in the equestrian events at the Paris Olympics and Paralympics this summer! Frida Andersen, Lara De Liedekerke, Sarah Ennis, Robin Godel and Esteban Valle in eventing, Pauline Basquin and Caroline Chew in dressage and, last but not least, Chiara Zenati in para dressage, who trains at our partner riding school, Cadre Noir du Saumur. The Olympic equestrian events were held between July 27th and August 6th whilst the Paralympics events took place between September 3rd and 7th. We’re delighted to share how brightly our Antarès Riders shone at the iconic Games. Here’s a recap of their amazing feats.

Eventing:

  • Frida Andersen treated us to a strong performance which saw her come 12th in individual eventing with Box Leo and 6th as part of the Swedish eventing team.
  • The Belgian rider Lara De Liedekerke and her loyal 10 year old gelding, Origi, came close behind Frida at 13th in individual eventing. She just missed out on a medal in team eventing with 123.40 points for Belgium.
  • Robin Godel represented Switzerland with pride in a flawless cross-country performance that saw him come 5th in team eventing. He and his horse Grandeur De Lully CH came 30th in individual eventing.
  • After a rainy dressage event, Esteban Benitez Valle and Utrera AA 35 1 managed to reach 49th place with their high-octane cross-country performance.
  • Sarah Ennis and her young mare Action Lady M got the event off to a flying start before injury during the cross-country ruled them out of the competition. Their impressive work still helped the Irish team earn 9th place.

Dressage:

  • Pauline Basquin flew the flag for France in dressage and certainly made her mark with an impressive musical performance in an equally impressive setting! She finished 16th in the individual freestyle with a score of 79.118. Her exuberant showcase with Sertorius helped the French team come 6th.
  • Caroline Chew and Zatchmo had a difficult day in the dressage arena at the Château de Versailles. Nevertheless, the athlete gave a brave performance and finished with a score of score of 63.351, putting her in 56th place.

Last but not least, para dressage:

Chiara Zenati, who trains at Cadre Noir De Saumur, gave an impressive, smooth and masterful performance. The French athlete demonstrated her determination and control at her individual event and came 4th with her gelding, Swing Royal. Alongside her teammates Alexia Pittier and Vladimir Vinchon, the French Paralympic team came 5th.

Antarès is proud to support our partner riders and share their outstanding performances with you. Our Antarès Riders appeared in 2 out of 3 equestrian events at the Olympics and once again proved their flair for horse riding. They stepped up to the plate and did their countries proud. We can’t wait to see how they get on in upcoming equestrian events!
