Helmet shims description

These shims are designed to fit the Précision riding helmet. They help mould to the shape and size of your head, giving riders who need additional support the peace of mind that their riding helmet will stay in place.

If you want the full set, pair the front shims with the rear shims on the liner of the Précision riding helmet.
The front shims mould to the helmet's design and fit the edges of the riding helmet.

The removable and washable Précision riding helmet front liner pads make cleaning a breeze.

Available in 2 thicknesses: 4mm or 8mm and sizes S/M and M/L.

Fitting guide

1. Remove liner from helmet.

2. Fit shims in line with the front and side edges of the helmet. Position the hook side onto the loop side of the helmet.

3. Re-insert the liner to the helmet. The velour loop on the shims and liner naturally fits onto the velcro on the EPS inner shell.

How to choose the right size Précision riding helmet?

Here are a few criteria to ensure your riding helmet fits perfectly. Your riding helmet should:

- Sit just above your eyebrows (no more than 2cm).
- Wrap around your head and support it with an even distribution of pressure.
- Stay in place when you move your head, even without the chin strap being fastened.

Helmet accessories are integral to any riding helmet. They help keep the rider safe and sound in the saddle. All our riding helmets are EC-certified and comply with the EN1384-2023/VG1 01.040 2014-12 standards.

We recommend replacing your riding helmet every 5 years, regardless of whether it has been in an accident or if it has no visible damage.
